Good Low Budget Films
Every now and then I find a good one on Netflix or Amazon. Most recently I enjoyed:
Hostile (2017)
Time Trap (2017) - This one was directed by Ben Foster.

shareDo you enjoy?
Film noir love triangles
Femme fatales
Supernatural twists
And, uh, Power Rangers...
Then you'll get a hit out of indie-made Blood Punch (2013).
It stars a lot of the main cast from Power Rangers: RPM, including creative talents who each worked on kid-friendly Disney productions helming the project. They show what they're all capable of, spook-wise, when Mickey's white gloves come off, not being directly under the Mouse's thumb. This one is not for the kiddies.

Kung Fu Zombies
Cannibal Monks
Hookers and Strippers
The Burbank Karate Club
Pirates and Mercenaries
Cameron Mitchell as the Crusty Sea Captain!
Wait! Did I say Cameron Mitchell? You also get Camille Keaton of “I Spit on Your Grave” fame in of course a nude scene. Jillian Kessner as the SWAT team... Let me stop here and find a trailer.

I just watched Time Trap and thought it was missing something that kept it from being excellent. I liked the concept but I'm not sure if it was the actors' deliveries and reactions, or a lack of budget which didn't allow the filmmakers to execute scenes quite like they wanted. Still it was worth the watch.
My low budget film choice is "The Man From Earth".
That's kind of how I feel about low budgets in general. I go into them not expecting much, so even if its decent, I think it was time well spent.
I can recommenced the 2012 movie "Resolution."
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Paranormal Activity (2009)
The Evil Dead (1981)
28 Days Later (2002)
Clerks (1994)
Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
Rocky (1976)
Halloween (1978)
Mad Max (1979)
Moon (2009)
That's a good list. I sometimes forget 28 Days Later had such a small budget.
Moon was one I liked as well.
