Cold Weather Coming My Way

https://globalnews.ca/news/5998871/alberta-weather-snow-temperature-drop-october-2019/

We've had a really cool and rainy summer. Half the province already had a dump of snow in September, and now a drop of about 20 degrees (Celsius) and more snow coming. I don't want to complain about the weather...but yeah, I'm complaining about the weather. 😒

reply

I feel for you. Cool and clear here.

reply

I'd be better if we had had a nice summer, but it we broke a record for the rainiest summer.

At least we do not have a shortage of fresh drinking water right?

reply

I can't remember the last time we had snow in October.

reply

I sympathize. Our summer was abruptly shut off the third week of August. We've had rain nearly every day for the past two weeks. I'll be thankful now that it wasn't snow. Today we FINALLY had sun for much of the day and things dried out enough that I got the lawn mowed. We might actually have a couple more days of sunshine and a bit warmer temps so I can finish waterproofing the garage foundation.

reply

Its been a tough summer for us 100-113 so I am really happy to say its finally below 90. so just when you think its bad for someone else is good your you.

reply

Today was the first day we started to get cooler. It has been in the 90’s forever.

reply

I have family in South Africa and they had a really warm winter and now that it's spring they've been having some really hot weather as well. I know I'm bummed about the weather here, but at least we have lots of drinking water.

Although the rains did ruin a lot of the crops. A few counties declared agricultural emergencies.

A last gasp of Summer here in Reno (after some colder weather)

80 degrees today (Monday) and tomorrow. Then back to reality. Which isn't so bad--Reno in October.

Don't go to the casinos so much anymore. But dropped a hundred bucks the other day.

reply

Winnipeg is going to get quite a snowfall by the end of the week. Thankfully, Toronto usually doesn't get excessive snow until late November.

reply

We did have a bit of snow this morning, but it's gone. Just got home and the wind is bitterly cold today with more snow to come. Ugh.

reply

Already?

reply

It's Western Canada. It happens.

reply

I know I live in the northern most major city in Canada, but my partner works north of Whitehorse and they had a nicer summer than we did. 😒. Even at that, we usually don't get snow until November.

reply

A summer like day here with a high of 24.

reply

It's been between 1 and -5 today but at least we don't have the heavy snowfall warning that is in effect elsewhere in the province.

reply

Calgary will have to deal with it.

reply

Ski season might be starting early this year.

reply

That's something you have to accept when you live in the frozen north.
