I need a vacation and I was thinking nice big house on a lake with no neighbors, but I think most people would prefer the beach house. I grew up on the beach, so it's not as peaceful too me.

I love a body of water but for some reason I don't like looking at the ocean. A beach is nice but there's something boring at the same time paradoxically unsettling to me, to look at the flat horizon of water with nothing to see beyond. A lake view is of more visual interest to me because of the opposite shore, as long as there is one visible. A lake house is probably more isolated and peaceful too. Beach is too busy with likelihood of people wandering about.
Are Bullock and Keanu at the lake house?
shareHere in 'Sunny' Bournemouth I live 5 minutes from the beach, so I would probably choose a lake house for a change of scenery.
