Classic movies you can't stand?

The Deer Hunter - well acted but an unrelenting downer that is slow and ponderous when it should be powerful
Blazing Saddles - a farting scene was the highlight. Enough said.
Rebel Without A Cause - overacted teenage melodrama
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - only memorable for Marilyn Monroe's singing, which shouldn't be any film's saving grace
The Avengers - this is a "classic" of the superhero genre right? It's also bloated and incoherent and leaves no emotional impact whatsoever
Titanic - I guessed the ending
Citizen Kane - boring as batshit

To Sir with Love - Well to do, educated black man shows up in a working class high school and puts shit on everyone and their way of life. Imagine if this were a well to do educated white man turning up in a high school in Africa and behaving the same way?

Dead Poets Society - An odd choice, as I like elements of the film. What I will never understand is the rich kid offing himself all because he isn't allowed to play pretend on stage. Is it really that serious that he can't wait a couple of years?

If.... (1968)

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) - Mind numbingly slow and tedious.

Taxi Driver (1976) - A grubby little film full of grubby little people.

Silence of the Lambs (1991) - Take out the performances of Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster and this was just another ordinary serial killer movie.

Giant (1956)

Didn't like Rock Hudson's cattle family.

Didn't like Dean's character.

Could care less about what happened between them.

Raging Bull (1980)

Hard to watch for me, Jake Lamotta character was just to ugly.

Musicals set in a real world. I just can't buy into people talking and interacting then breaking into song out of the blue.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: I just couldn't get into the story as much, even though I like both actors.
