I watched Full Metal Jacket back in the 80s and then again recently. It was funny seeing who played the messed up boot camp guy. Don't know his name but just know him from seeing him on one of the crime shows on TV.

I met him around 2010 and he was a spokesman for Glock. We debated the 1911 .45 vs Glock 9mm and he was a really nice guy. He even talked to my daughter in the drill sergeant style. It was so funny.

Ha! Commerce first...he seems like my sort of guy!
I've fired the .45 and the 9 millie (at paper targets only) and I'd say the .45 makes a bigger hole but either one is certainly lethal and very accurate within 30+ yards
