I don’t think we were really in her crosshairs. Her aim at one time was Florida, “going up the spine of Florida”. If she had made landfall in Florida the reports stated she could possibly cross Florida into the Gulf, then we needed to be concerned. All of this hype was 5 days out which threw people into a panic. People are PO’d over the histrionics and “It’s coming! Evacuate! Evacuate!” It’s expensive to evacuate and so many don’t have the means to pay for travel and motel rooms.

My daughter is visiting here so we were in panic mode over her home where my granddaughter and fur babies also live. The windows had to be boarded, the generator set up to run when the storm was over. The Weather Channel went overboard in casting it to hit Florida as a Cat 4. If that had occurred there wouldn’t be any need for a generator....the whole place would be flying through the air like The Wizard of Oz!

There is another one heading for Florida. We will keep watch, but folks aren’t going to take heed with another one due to the hype. Damn Weather Channel! Also other alarmists! Read the following and you’ll understand why we are *pissed*! And this is from a degreed person! :
