Is Popeye's Chicken starting to get trendy right now?
I'm just curious. Part of the reason I eat at that place is to avoid the hipster yuppie crowd....

shareNo, but once they start using only free range chickens who have died of old age then the hipsters will flock to it.
shareMan, it’s not trendy where I live. I can’t even find a chicken biscuit for breakfast in this town so I guess it depends on where you live?
shareApparently, as of Tuesday afternoon, Popeye's is sold out of chicken sandwiches at many locations.

There are two of them in my city - one opened about ten years ago, while the other opened a few years ago. Both are in 'lower income neighborhoods' which surprises me, since they are on the expensive side from what I've heard. I drive by one frequently coming home from work each day, and never see them busy or with 'lines' around the block as other cities are reporting. Maybe it's time I went to try one of their chicken sandwiches?
I did try one of their dinners when they first opened a decade or so ago, and never liked the chicken. I thought it was too spicy for me and too dry. At the time, someone recommended their mac-n-cheese, but that didn't impress me at all. I've never went back after those first two times.
Now there's a guy suing Popeye's because they ran out of chicken sandwiches.
