Best excuse for calling in to miss work?

Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgwick filmed a scene for Loverboy (05) right in front of my house...I told the office I was sick and had NO qualms about it

They must have spent 20 hours over two days filming what amounted to two minutes of screen time

The movie was pretty boring but Kira Sedgwick pointed into my kitchen garden and said 'Ooh, look at the birdbath' at one point
She was beautiful, radiant even, a real stunner
Her husband looked like every other small, hardbitten fellow at the pub
He seemed very nice though

My birdbath is famous but will not be signing autographs

Sick child.

A couple weeks ago I was caught without my car and had to walk a long way in the rain in order to show up and entertain a young man with a disability. I was really tempted to ask if I could simply go home and dry off and try again the next day, I was miserable and in a bad mood. But I trudged to their house and did my duty and it worked out okay. But I was sooo close ....

I used to always say I had to take off to get ready for my daughters birthday party but I had to stop when one of my coworkers told me he added those days up over the years and it would make my daughter older than I am.
