I like miso soup. Love that exotic mix of salty and savory flavors!
shareI like miso soup. Love that exotic mix of salty and savory flavors!
shareI found out I don't like sushi but the rice rolls were pretty good (with soy sauce)
The raw fish was not good
I'm not sure what else the Japanese make...examples would help
Teriyaki Chicken, Beef, Salmon (Meat in a sweet-savory sauce)
Shrimp, Chicken, Vegetable Tempura (Breaded and fried foods)
Various noodles like Soba and Ramen
There's a lot more but this is what I can think if at the top of my head.
Sounds delightful...it's the raw thing that scares me off
If all cooked, that sounds terrific
I used to eat sushi until one time it made me sick. No more.
shareI love Udon noodles.
Yakatori (grilled skewered chicken)
Gyoza (dumpling)
Vegetable tempura
Shrimp tempura
As to miso soup, I love the yellowish kind. The dark brown I don't care for.
Those all sound good!
shareI haven't seen tempura in a long time. I used to go to an inexpensive place in Chicago and get shrimp tempura. Somehow the breading or whatever it is doesn't seem exactly healthy, and I think we should consider eating our food w/o it being dipped in batter, but I did enjoy it at the time.
shareSushi.
shareUdon noodles
shareI love a lot, but I still have to go with sushi.
shareAny soba noodle dish.
Seafood udon soup bowls with veggies (pork broth).
Torched squid.
I'm not a foodie. I was about to comment then I realized I was going to conflate Japanese with Chinese, so I'm going to back track until something right comes to mind.
