I just came across this song and bought it on amazon .
Not familiar with him, looked him up and this song was a huge hit. I didn't think songs like this topped the Billboard Hot 100 these days.

I was looking at a list of top 100 songs of 2024, so I could add some new music to my MP3 player and he was on it.
sharePretty good.
I admire you for exploring newer music. I’m pretty stalled out in an old country and classic rock sinkhole. Not complaining actually but some of the new stuff is good.

Fake Flower Power (one doesn't believe for a second that Sonny Bono was "hip"). Still, a Top Ten song at the time.
shareHahahh, yeah. I think it's from '67. Sonny, as you can probably tell, was a Phil Spector disciple.
Cher actually can sing. She sounds pretty good.
Sonny's production ( I believe he wrote it, too).
Believe it was a top ten hit as well.
This one has been rolling around in my head all day......
