shareThe voices in my head yelling me this place is hilarious.
sharePay heed, The voices in my head are never wrong Laura
Never
Mine sound exactly like Fox News.
Oh wait - the tv's on. It IS Fox News.
Quick, Put on a game show!
Those news channels can warp the mindπ
It amazes me that that fake news viewership(?) numbers tank harder and harder every month, while Fox happily scoops them up, and yet they change not a damn thing. I fully expect these fools to continue to hemorrhage money until they completely collapse simply because they refuse to acknowledge that TDS is killing them.
Okay, yes, I know it's politics. My sincere apologies, I'm done.

Real Funeral Doom and Black Metal Hours ππ―
Listen to Metallica its better.
shareLol I'm into their early albums, though I burned them out as a preteen and it's mostly nostalgia now. Metal in general is a nostalgia thing for me though. I've plundered the vaults of metal very deeply over the years and when I visit now it's mostly to the very far flung dusty corners of obscurity.
I do need to finish watching this however: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTIKBWs40KU
Have you heard Alice in Chains Facelift album..nothing is better.
shareIt's a classic, another one that takes me back to middle school for sure. I do think of it as more of a grunge/hard rock album. One of the essential grunge albums probably.
Here's the kind of territory I'm on with metal nowadays:

If you like the sound of a passed out meth head diarrheaing into a tin trash can, recorded on a soviet era wire recorder you'll love this.
Thats what i call fake metal. Here is the real thing. https://youtu.be/WM8bTdBs-cw
shareHeh.
Ok so it sounds like you're more into classic heavy metal, hard rock, thrash, but not really the so called "extreme metal" subgenres, death, doom, black, grind, drone, etc.?
It's interesting because it tends to be the extreme metal heads who are most hung up on gatekeeping what is "trve" and "untrve".
Personally I can't get into genre elitism, and am very much in favor of breaking "the rules" as much as one wants. They only hold back the progress of innovation. Ultimately I find metal to be a vast ~realm~ with no boundaries, untold uncharted territories, and some of my favorite spots are off the beaten path. Inclusivity ist krieg lol. π€
Having said that, did I learn a shit ton of Metallica songs when I was starting out on guitar back in the day? Oh yeah.
But let's see, what else from the classic metal canon can we agree on... Any of these classic albums your speed?
