Prince! I wish I was around in early 80s when he was at his peak. Must have been wonderful times.
shareThis was a very busy time for popular music, but Prince was definitely on the upswing and getting noticed as a major force.
Purple Rain may have been a bigger success but the 1999 album really set the stage. But Micheal, Tears For Fears, Culture Club, Lauper, U2, anything Springsteen breathed, Bangles and Go Gos, all were big sellers. A phenomenal time.
