When I think of the Ramones, I think of a specific point in time - same with Blondie or Chic, who all hung out in NY, whereas Joel was NYC.
I love Aerosmith, but to me they could have come from anywhere in the US. You get someone like Springsteen and straight away I’m thinking of places like Detroit. I’m not sure if any of this is making any sense?
