Anyone be ok if they never heard “Sweet Home Alabama” again?

Some songs, no matter how much they appealed to you at one point, just get played WAY too much. There are many worse songs that are far more annoying, but I think I’ve literally heard this song hundreds of times.

I like the kid rock one

It would be no great loss to me if I never heard it again. Not because I've heard it too many times, it's just not ever been a song I liked all that much.

reply

It really is overplayed, considering the band had dozens of better songs.

You're walking on thin ice, friend. We may have trouble conversing in the future.

This is my go to Alabama song that never gets old:

I would love it if I never heard that song again. It's a bit catchy, but that is really the only thing it has going for it. The in-song dig at Neil Young's Southern Man shows a complete lack of understanding of what the song was about, and Skynyrd's only response was "screw you, man." They could have had some reflection, like "hey, maybe we shouldn't be the ignorant bigots that our parents were." Instead they just proved that they are. Worst Skynyrd song ever. That being said, I would still rather listen to it than ever hear that Kid Rock garbage version.

I wouldn’t be bothered in the slightest. Throw that bullshit Freebird song in there too.

God yes.
