Some songs, no matter how much they appealed to you at one point, just get played WAY too much. There are many worse songs that are far more annoying, but I think I’ve literally heard this song hundreds of times.

shareI was a teenager when Sweet Home Alabama first became a hit, so I've been hearing it for a long time. It doesn't annoy me, but I have heard it way too many times. If I never hear it again, that's fine with me.
On the other hand, there is one song I positively loathe, which also gets played too much. I hate it so much that I've started writing new lyrics for it ...

That's as far as I've got, because I can't stand to think about the song at all, much less listen to it. Maybe one day I'll finish it.

shareThe unfortunate thing is that the song is also used as a sample for "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon and "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock. They all sound identical.
