Songs that sound like they were recorded by someone else.
For a long time I thought ‘At Last’ by Etta James was actually sung by Ella Fitzgerald.

It sounds a lot like depeche mode
Oh definitely, even the vocals.

Washed Out - Feel It All Around - Sounds like Pink Floyd (to me, at least)

Pink Floyd is my favorite band, but they would be the last band I'd ever associate with the link you posted. The beginning with the fake drum machine is definitely not Pink Floydish. The vocals don't come close to Waters, Gilmour, or Wright. Guitar tone isn't close. 99% of their songs don't have additional percussion like the timbales played in the background. There's no changes either, another thing Pink Floyd liked to do, especially on those long over 10 minutes with parts.
shareI just think the vocal is reminiscent of 'Breathe' from DSOTM or 'Echoes' from Meddle. And the melody has a dreamy quality of some Pink Floyd songs.
shareConway Twitty "Its Only Make Believe"; when I first heard it long ago, I assumed it was Elvis:

Twitty was a big fan of Elvis
This sounds a bit like Sara Smile by Hall and Oates, but it is in fact How Long by Ace: -

I see a few associated sounds in "yacht rock". Personally, I don't think its possible to rock in a yacht, but you could throw in Little River Band, Exile, Dave Loggins, Bobby Goldsboro, Christopher Cross, Wha-koo (sang for Steely Dan, great vocal on "Dirty Work on their first couple albums), England Dan & John Ford Coley, Robby Dupree - Steal Away (which to me is almost a complete Doobie Brothers rip-off -- I'll let you guess the song, which I'm sure someone will get).
Seals and Croft - Hummingbird
(vocal sounds a little like Peter Gabriel during the chorus, and both songs have flutes, which Gabriel liked to play)
Steeler's Wheel - Stuck in the Middle With You (sounds like Dylan, but its actually Gerry Rafferty)
robyn hitchcock's somewhere apart sure sounds a lot like...well, you'll know as soon as you hear it.

Is that you John?
shareHere we have Stephen Stills and Neil Young doing their best Steely Dan impression: -
