And stop demonising people.

There is a trend at the moment to portray our allies as all-good and are enemies as all-bad, but no human-being, not even Trump, is entirely wretched.

This hyperbolic cruelty where are enemies are 'stupid, ugly, stink, hateful etcetera' serves no-one. It is anathema to humanity.

We need to see the value and the faults in ALL human-beings. No one person should be made to feel like the scum of the Earth, but likewise no one person should be put on a pedestal.

Unless we promote egalitarianism, we run the risk of giving our enemies a 'bad name' and pushing them further and further away. Only by embracing them with love can we redeem them.

What I hate are generalizations. Examples:

-Men are pigs
-Muslims are terrorists
-Liberals have a mental illness
-Conservatives are racist
-White people have white privilege
-Black people are criminals
-Asians are bad drivers

And so on.

Generalizations cause such a negative impact on society.

Oh, he was a total boss in the spotlight, the people admired him and he egged them on
Quite a media star he was!

Madison Square Garden in NYC hosted National Socialist rallies and Hitler was greatly admired throughout much of the US before anyone really knew what the hell Hitler was all about
Imagine if he wasn't a total maniac but an ambitious, honest and not insane leader...Germany might be running the planet right now!

No, we don't. We don't need to demonize people, but certainly we don't need to value them either.

Sometimes our enemies are stupid, ugly hateful so-and-sos, hence why they've become our enemies. Some people are the scum of the earth and thus should feel that they are.

Egalitarianism isn't blind love or faith. Sometimes seeing someone for who they are, acknowledging their faults and treating them accordingly leads them to a better way. Or at least leads them away from doing damage to those that see them.

But with all due respect, who are you to decide who is the scum of the earth?

Also, are people who are born ugly, or with a low I.Q., automatically worthless in your opinion because of traits they were born with?

Anyway, my argument is by showing everyone love and worth, you're less likely to push them to darkness and cruelty.

In my experience, it's insecurity and lack of self-worth that push people to strike out and do horrible acts. By displaying love, you potentially smother away that sense of hate.

The same as you - and who are you to decide everyone has value? A person.

I'm not talking about physical un-attractiveness or a low I.Q. To me, ugliness is reflected in people's actions, stupidity in people's choices. No one can decide what they're born with, they can only decide who they are. And for some, no amount of love, patience, or kindness will improve these things.

I'm not saying they don't deserve these things - I'm saying there's a limit to how much you should give to someone before you accept that it's not working. In my experience, enabling such people can help them become worse.

And no, I don't think this is an either or type thing, not either love or hate. But you should be able to withdraw your love from someone who will abuse it and not be considered a bad person who gave up. Cruelty is not the flip-side of love and respect. And at certain points in their lives, people don't deserve either.
