I refrigerate my maple syrup because my mom did. A holdover from the olden days, I guess. 😉 I always heat the syrup before serving. It never made sense to me to pour cold syrup over hot pancakes or whatever. And since real maple syrup is expensive I'm not going to chance it going bad. Okay, now I'm hungry for pancakes...🥞🥓🥛
Ketchup goes in the fridge too, because I don't use ketchup. I only have it on hand for visitors, usually family members, who all use it. It can be a long time between "eating" visits, so the ketchup is cold when they need it, but I think they're all used to having it that way.
