why i enjoy being alone
90 percent of human interaction is poinless bs
shareSo you're more of an idea person than a small talk person. Don't make many friends that way.
~~/o/
we are all single serving friends
shareDoesn't sound like a real friendship then if it's only temporary.
~~/o/
it is a line from fight club
share[Possible Spoilers]
All the people in the movie were desperate to find themselves in a world where they felt stripped of their identity.
I think the ringleader was misleading others in an attempt to fill a void that showed no sign of closure.
I like to think relationships gives us meaning in our lives. Fights the boredom of routine and responsibility.
Have not seen the film.

It's pretty good with some interesting ideas but I'm surprised by how enduringly popular it has been
shareWould have seen it long ago if I haven't heard about it talked to death. Hoped time would help forget to go in with a fresh mind but it hasn't. Watcha' gonna' do?
The fact it's so popular is ironic since it turns the film into its own brand, the very thing it's criticizing, and cleverly so

Good point
Still, not a bad movie...just not as great as some (mostly guys) claim
I'll see it someday, on my list of 1,001 things still in need of being seen! (^_^)
I wonder how many of the people who've praised it in their youth view it for the first time as an adult?
~~/o/
Oh man, I've got that ever growing list too
I fear we may never make time for them all!
Yeah, good question regarding the viewer's age
I first saw it in my mid-twenties so I didn't fall under the nihilistic macho spell the film tries to cast
While the teenaged boy crowd probably loved it, I found it to be pretty entertaining fun but little else...
Great cast for sureš
You seem to know a lot about it if you havenāt seen it.
Fight Club is my 2nd all time favourite movie. The first times I saw it (letās say from 16 to 20yrs old) I kept noticing new cool things about it each times. Itās very rich, very deep and very brutal. Itās well made, well acted, powerful and mesmerizing. Without even mentioning the memorable twist in the end. Each time I rewatched it as an adultes it still was a perfect film to me.
Thank goodness the ending was never spoiled in my case!
The film was a popular subject in school covering subliminal advertising.
Took the fun out of it.
Good or bad, what you say about it shows that it's still relevant.
Will watch it this year.

I feel you. I generally don't like people. They're judgmental and inherently annoying. I can't stand going to parties and shooting the shit with people because it seems forced like we as a society are supposed to do it.
shareI have a few close friends and that's enough. I'm an introvert, meaning I need time alone to "recharge my batteries."
shareNot that I don't want womanly companionship, but there are a lot times when I do enjoy being alone. I can chatter away and laugh at my own silliness. I'd sound like a lunatic if I did it around other people.

If you enjoy being alone, this is the place to go. It's pretty dead. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
š
Although I really enjoy my āalone timeā, I canāt stay alone for too long or else I go crazy and feel like the rest of the world is turning without me.
shareSince most of my family and relatives don't live close . . most are out of state, I find myself alone a lot especially after my partner passed away several years ago. I have friends who I see sometimes, friendly neighbors, etc. Doesn't bother at all to be alone.
shareI love living alone. I'd never willingly give up my flat for anything. I work in customer service dealing with gamblers 6 days a week, I love getting home and just being silent without having some drama over something another person in the household has(not) done.
The secret to great relationships is having your own space š
