An overlooked horror movie cliche...

Blood shown splattering on a wall after someone is killed.

Ha, all true. I have some regular movie clichés.
-In HS themed movies everyone knowing the steps to dances at the prom or homecoming.
-This one I just picked up on recently. In 1980s movies you will notice people somehow doing more on those early computers then what they actually could do in real life for that time period.

soon-to-be victim walks into the house/room/wherever with no peripheral vision - no looking left, right, or backward. it always looks contrived too, because people actually do tend to look around a bit, especially when under duress.

it least they do when I stalk them, at any rate. bwaaahhhhaaaaahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!

The shower scene in Psycho. Well, not totally overlooked. . . ..

If you mean someone having a shower in a horror movie, yes that is very common post Psycho.
