Michael Conrad - Hill Street Blues
Jack Soo - Barney Miller
John Ritter - 8 Simple Rules
Phil Hartman - NewsRadio
Jerry Orbach - Law and Order

Michael Conrad, at age 58, was very sad indeed. John Ritter, at age 54 was a shock, but also Nicholas Colasanto, who was just 61.

I may be mistaken, but didn't George Reeves die while doing "Adventures of Superman," causing the series to be cancelled? I feel like he did.

Also, Mary Kay Bergman committed suicide while doing "South Park" and the characters she voiced were replaced by other voice actresses.

OP, Lenny Brisco (Jerry Orbach) didn't die, he (Lenny) retired at the end of season 12 (or maybe 13).

He was supposed to come back in a Law and Order spinoff but he passed away. Point taken.
