Movies that always put a lump in your throat?

Too many, especially as I get older! Although the ones that stick out at this moment are:-

The Elephant Man
Remains of the Day
The Colour Purple
A.I: Artificial Intelligence

Oh yeah. Rocky Balboa as well

"Being there". I saw "Being There" once, and have never wanted to see it again since.


The following films, however, despite putting a lump in my throat, are among the best to watch, tell more of a story, and have more meaning. "West Side Story", as you all know, however, is my all time favorite film, hands down.

I don't really do the whole lump in the throat thing. I just let it all out with a good cry. Nothing makes me weep quite as much as The Elephant Man.
