Do you eat turkey for thanksgiving?

Really don't care for the bird...PRIME RIB! It's a Feet Family Treat๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

reply

Yes, I do!

reply

Yes, but not by itself. I like the taste but it's too dry. I usually have it in a casserole. :)

reply

Yes.

reply

Crab cakes.

I've eaten turkey for Thanksgiving. I do prefer the wings, the tail and the liver to the rest of the bird, however.

I'll be visiting my family, and we're having duck this year!

reply

turkey pot pie is good.

reply

If you say so๐Ÿ˜‰

reply

great for leftover turkey

reply

Yes, I used to go to my mom's when she was alive, then I started the cooking, then one of the kids. About three years we decided to go out for dinner. It is easier! better, convenient and there is no clean up. And when we come home, we can ALL watch football. The only downside- no leftovers! But I remedy that by making a small turkey breast that weekend.

reply

Sometimes. It depends on where I am on the day. This year I'll be at home, but no plans for turkey. Hanging out with my youngest son most likely. Just the two of us, which is fine by me. I like quiet, uncomplicated holidays.

reply

Sounds good to me๐Ÿ‘

reply

๐Ÿ‘ It took me too many years to realize that staying home on holidays was a gift to me and my family. A lot less stress that way.

reply

Yup. I'll get up and leisurely get things ready...then pop across the street to my mom's place to eat...then crossed the street again and I'm home...love it! Christmas is not as easy๐Ÿ‘Ž

reply

Is Christmas Eve or Christmas Day a bigger deal in your family. Mine used to be (until my parents passed away) Christmas Eve. My mom figured that left Christmas Day for folks to visit the in-laws.

reply

Uhg...mine goes from the 21st through the 27th or 8th๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž my wife and I do ours on Christmas morning...I also see mom on the 25th. But my brother is out of town comes on the 21st...leaves 23rd. Wifes folks are divorced so that's two separate events. Wifes youngest sister is divorced and they share custody and it's a mess...so there is two different get togethers. We also have some friends that we do dinner with. I'm really glad when Christmas is done๐Ÿ‘
