Great fun

reply

Thanks, Shogie!

reply

Charlie Brown for sure
Tons of horrors from the classic 70s-80s era and a smattering of low budget indies
Fall is Horror time for me

Stir of Echoes

reply

I have not seen it since it came out
Probably due for a rewatch
Jacob's Ladder has been on my mind of late
I bet they would make a great double feature if i can find them streaming

Ill look into it

reply

Huh? How can it be due for a rewatch if you haven't seen it since it's release?

Anyway, this movie has always captivated me for some reason. Just rewatched it again not long ago. Imo, it's one of Kevin Bacon's best.

I also watched Jacob's Ladder recently and agree that they would be great as a double feature.

reply

As in 'i should rewatch it' since its been so long

Ill look for both and do it soon if i find them

Of course, pop! The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror specials! How could forget those? Only the first ten, though.

reply

I try to stick Halloween themes as much as I can in October. I can't watch a Halloween theme movie in the middle of July, just like I can't watch Silent Night Bloody Night or Black Christmas in October. It has to be around the holidays...

reply

I don't even celebrate Halloween, but I totally agree with you. I saw the movie on tv this summer, now how does that make sense???

reply

It maybe weird to say this but I have seen these Halloween, Friday The 13th films so much as a kid...

I prefer to watch it on specific days of the year. It helps to keep it fresh...

When the next Friday the 13th day comes along I will be watching a Friday film...

reply

See, I've been trying to do that as well with Friday the 13th, but it never seems to work out!

reply

I love this topic!!!

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
Halloween (the original from 1978)
Friday the 13th (the original from 1980)
The Exorcist
Nightmare on Elm Street

reply

I cannot state how strongly I love Halloween 1978. Also I can't get enough of Halloween H2O.

reply

Pete, I'm going to see the special 40th anniversary re-release next month. How about you?

H20 makes me have to acknowledge the second movie, but it's still the only Halloween sequel I enjoy.

reply

I'm seeing the brand new sequel next month. Is that what you're talking about? Or are they also rereleasing the original?

reply

No, I'm talking about the original. I've never seen it on the big screen, so I'm looking forward to it.

I gotta say, I saw the trailer of the new sequel and I'm really not that sure.😬

reply

I wish I could see the original Halloween on the big screen...

reply

You can, it's being re released starting on 27th of this month.

reply

In every state?

reply

I think, I dunno, I'll do some research

reply

Check for your area:

reply

NYC ok I’m good...

Thanks

reply

I noticed they're strangely not in alphabetical order by state. Not sure why.

reply

No re-release where you live???

reply

I try not to see trailers for things I know I'm going to see. No preconceived notions. I want to judge it based on the film itself and not the marketing and my expectations.

What I know is that Jamie Lee Curtis is back, and so is Nick Castle as the Shape. Also David Gordon Green directs. I really like all those elements. Kenny McBride wrote it I believe and we'll see how that goes. I like him as an actor.

I will definitely see the re release of the original now that I know about it! I wasn't born until about ten years after it came out so I would love to see it on the big screen.

reply

I have to stress that I live in Europe, I just assumed the movie will also be released again in the US. I'm really sorry if this isn't the case!

reply

Yeah pop and I figured it out, starting Sep 27 here and there's a few theatres by me showing it.

reply

Great!👍 I'm going October 6th.

reply

I never liked H20 or Resurrection...

I did liked Halloween 4 when it first came out in 1988...

But I’m old school, Halloween & II are still the ones I watch.

reply

I like 4, even 5. Really don't like 6. I LOVE H20. I HATE Resurrection. They went from like an 8 to a 2 in one movie.

reply

What about Halloween III?

reply

Not a huge fan, not at all.

reply

I respect that...I didn’t liked it back in the day... I love it now

reply

Absolutely! Season of the Witch!
How many days til Halloween?

reply

Don’t start signing the jingle theme lol

reply

"Don’t start signing the jingle theme lol"

I didn't write the damned song, so I can't sign it.
I can SING it though!

reply
