Night of the Living Dead. The lone survivor of the group ends up getting shot and we see his dead body on the floor of the farmhouse he'd been using to hide from the zombies.

Either Planes Trains and Automobiles or Uncle Buck. Still shot of candy smiling and or waving before credits start gets me every time.

The Mist, I think. Or maybe the Bermuda Depths. Practically every scene in that movie was haunting so while I cant exactly remember the final scene, odds are it was creepily eerie.
