Favorite show based in Chicago

There are a lot of Chicago shows now. What is your favorite series based in Chicago(current or cancelled)?

I loved The Untouchables...but that was a movie, not a show
Are movies allowed?

Anyway, nice to see you sha;)

reply

Yes it was, Sho, one of my favorites when I was a boy. It had a gritty quality to it and I remember it being on late at night, after the kids were presumably in bed. I realize it's before your time but my guess is you would like it: https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/07/movies/the-untouchables-tv-series-old-school-gangster-trapping.html

I liked Robert Stack's Eliot Ness much more than Costner's.

reply

I only vaguely recall watching this as a real little kid...i should search up some clips on Youtube or Vimeo...
I really dug Costner though and who can argue with anything starring Connery!

reply

Holy smokes, youre right
It WAS a show!
I'd completely forgotten it...i remember the Costner/Connery one very fondly

Boardwalk Empire was partly set in Chicago and I thought that was a great show.

Shows I have watched that were set in Chicago:

Perfect Strangers
Family Matters
Early Edition
Father Dowling
Married...with Children
According to Jim
