Mission Impossible

Aren't folks tired of this franchise of movie

reply

Yes! I think I might have watched the first one, but I'm not sure. But yes, they should stop beating this (long since)
dead horse.

reply

Yes. The tv series was great but the movies have become predictable and boring. The first one was ok.

reply

I think we all enjoyed the series.

reply

Enough is enough

reply

I have liked them all
Great action stuff and Tom Cruise is pretty cool in everything!

reply

Right on, right on. Cruise chooses his roles very well and has been increasingly involved in the making of his films over the years. The last Mission Impossible was a cut above the rest, and this next one looks bananas!

reply

I love them all too! They are enjoyable movies. I'm actually surprised that the fact that many people like Mission Impossible movies is surprising.

James Bond movies are almost the same thing, yet it's okay to not get tired of them? I even consider Mission Impossible movies are better overall then the latest Craig-era James Bond movies.

reply

Agreed. This new one looks great. Might have to drag myself to the theatre in a few weeks.

reply

This^^^^. Since Cruise does most of his own stunts and he’s getting up in years, we may not see him much longer in MIF. But, he could relent and permit someone else to do the stunts. BTW, I purchased the complete original series. I binged out watching the episodes! They were still enjoyable. Color tv was really taking off so my husband saved and bought our first color tv, a Sylvania. We had MIF (1966) then later Star Trek (1969). I was so fascinated with both series. Sure, they look cheesy now with the Christmas bulbs flashing and aluminum foil on cardboard, but back then those two programs made us awe struck.

reply

No. Two more outta do it. The Fast Franchise though, put a fork in that.

reply

I'm a fan of the original series and I have seen the first movie, but I quit after that.

reply

The new one (Fallout) has gotten great reviews, so maybe I'm wrong.
