Anyone buy a newspaper anymore ??
I canceled my newspaper subscription about two years ago and don't miss it at all. I bought the newspaper today and it was pretty thin and everything in it seemed dated.

shareI was a journalist for a few years and if anything kills off an interest in how the news works working in it is the fastest way.
shareNationwide or worldwide news i read online.
For regional news i have a subscription of the local rather small newspaper.

Every day. If you get a good one there's always really interesting stories and articles that aren't necessarily 'popular' news items
shareNever had any newspaper or magazine subscriptions my whole life. I used to just buy from the small kiosks that sell them whenever I like, usually magazines, but very rarely also newspapers. No longer though.
Also stopped watching tv since I left highschool. My house right now does not even have any antennas to recieve tv broadcasts.
Well thanks, Internetz!
At one time it used to serve a critical purpose...to help pass the time in the bathroom. However with cellphones, tablets and other such gadgets it has been surpassed with far superior access to information and entertainment for a more efficient restroom experience.
Other than its ability to sub for toilet paper in a pinch newspaper is obsolete.
Haven't for years. Like a few others, I avoid the news at all costs. Television included. Its so depressing.
shareI like reading the free newspaper on the bus, passes the time nicely on my way to work.
