Dog Soldiers sounds interesting.
shareDog Soldiers scared the shit out of me!
I haven't watched it since.
There was supposed to be a sequel but christ knows what happened to it???
shareI'm kind of glad!
Didn't the same guy make The Descent?
That was another scary one, not least because who would willingly go caving and force themself into tiny gaps underground!!
I hear there will be another American Werewolf film? Were you a fan of that?
Yep It's the same director as The Descent, I know what you mean its a bit claustrophobic that one.
I heard about that, It's going to be John Landis's son doing the remake so hopefully John will keep him right.
I hope so too.
I recently listened to a radio play of AWIL and it's chock full of comedy, so hopefully that will come across as it did in the original.
John Landis did a great book called Monsters in the Movies, it covers just about everything if you're into horror.
I've got that book, It's great toilet reading. Is that the play where the werewolf escapes from the asylum?

shareIt really is
And hardly anybody i know has seen this perfect creep-fest
How did you come across it?
For me it was on the Shutter Island board on IMDb, someone suggested I might like it.
In fact I discovered a lot of gems that way!
I ordered the dvd from Netflix a few years ago on a whim ( i stream everything now so no more discs in the mail...)
I like that carrot-topped little guy and figured it couldnt be bad if he was in it...his name escapes me just now
Shame they tore down the building considering it was included in the National Register of Historic Places. I never went in, but did drive up to it a few times and it always awed me.
shareThey did? I didn't know that, where was it?
shareIt was filmed at the Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts. It is now apartment buildings.

Thanks for that, I'm going to have a good read about this, asylums are strangely fascinating and eerie places. Did you get any sense of that when you drove up?
Did you watch any of American Horror Story Asylum?
Yes! The immense size alone was astounding. What I would have done to spend a day there exploring, but security was always chasing people off and I didn't have the balls to go at night, which many people did.
Not trying to sound corny, but I still sometimes have dreams of the place. There was just something about the building/property that was totally eerie. Hard to put it into words.
No, I've never seen AHS. Might check it out though.
