Ronette's dream during the last moments of the season two premiere of "Twin Peaks" caught me off-guard and scared me like few moments in TV ever have.

I still remember Salem's lot even though I haven't seen it since it first ran.

Some scary scenes in that movie.
At least for me they were.

The TV mini series was very good
Quite frightening

I have read the novel 2-3 times
Fantastic story, great writing.

I read the book too.
It's been awhile.

I remember a scene with a ghost (maybe a kid) outside a window and scratching on it?
I remember that scaring the crap out of me at that time.

I'm not sure if holds up after all these years but back then it sure did.

In the otherwise forgettable Annabelle horror movie there's a scene where one of the main characters sees the Annabelle doll hovering silently in the living room. For some reason I found that scene extremely terrifying and dreadful.

Watching that on TV, in the middle of the night, all alone, instead of a movie theater packed with people, would probably have a much more scarring effect.

I remember watching some Night Gallery episodes that scared me.
I still remember a dream I had that I'm sure came from this show.

I started watching a documentary on the People's Temple. I'd never heard of them before at the time. I had no idea how it was going to end. By the end I was pretty shaken up and terrified of the human race.

I fell asleep during a portion of "Body Double"---only to awaken precisely as Deborah Shelton is getting drilled thru the back with a power drill from the floor below. I wasn't right for a week.

I can imagine.

I woke up once to the part in "Jaws" where the fate of Ben Gardener is revealed ... and jumped so high the ceiling and my head nearly met.

When I was about 3, I was watching the Teletubbies when the screen went all pixelated and fuzzy due to a technical issue. At the time I thought that was terrifying and I screamed. My mum had to tell me that everything was okay. It went back to normal after about 10 seconds.
