I watched it on line a few years ago, it's a rough one, but I adore Phillipe Nahon.

Love the French movies!
Have you seen the prequel to "I Stand Alone"? ="Carne". I could not watch it because the animal scenes are horrid for me.
Also, you mentioned "Irreversible" and Nahon was the cellmate of the boyfriend in the beginning of the film, which is the end, hahaha.
Check out "Haute Tension" and Nahon is the killer. He is also in "Calvaire".
I really enjoyed High Tension and Calvaire (if 'enjoyed' is the right word 😖...they were both excellent thrillers and damn they both blew me away)

I loved HT! HT is what led me to IMDb. I was soooo angry at Aja, the director, for trying to fool me! I needed to vent. But after seeing it again and talking with others, I came to love the film.
"Calvaire" disturbed me because of the bestiality but it was a great ? film LOL!
Remember the dance the men did? It made me shudder!

Misery (1990). I'm surprised no one mentioned it.
