Movie Title Riddle Game

Post a movie title which you have hidden with a riddle wrapped in an enigma.

Don't post the answer as a spoiler, make people try to figure it out. I only did that here as an example.

To begin: Bathroom Candle Core

ShogunofYonkers got this one, FYI: [spoiler]John Wick[/spoiler]

(Also FYI... There are a lot of unsolved riddles waiting in these pages.... Just sayin')

Burning pride

reply

Kind of reaching here: Flaming Star

reply

No... It's an old movie, but more recent than that.

reply

Ok, same decade and involving plenty of pride : In the Heat of the Night

reply

Nope, still more recent... But using "heat" is a step in the right direction (not in terms of the word, but the concept).

The solution for this riddle definitely has a form of "pride" right there in the title.

Nocturnal four weeks

30 Days of Night?

reply

That's it.

Inadequate planet

The World is Not Enough

reply

Got it !

reply

The almost-fabricated reality revolving around Batman's "normal" alter ego.

The actual title is a hell of a lot shorter than this riddle implies.

reply

Bruce Almighty ?

reply

Nope... This title is hyper-specific to the riddle. You're getting there, though, and that's a good start.

reply

Wayne's World

reply

Got it!

I doubt you'll get this one so easily, Frog :

Arid average guy

reply

Hmm, not sure.

Also... What is the answer to "Scandal leading to a shutdown"? You can PM me if you don't want to reveal it here.

reply

[deleted]

No, but you're on the right track with the clue "average" pertaining to a name.

reply

[deleted]

Still no, but closer yet.

reply

[deleted]

No, way off now. Return to your previous clues.

The second word is definitely Joe, like "average Joe." You got that much.

I can't think of any, though. This just makes me think of Killer Joe, because it's a favorite of mine.

Can't think of what Arid would refer to other than dry, parched, desert, etc. No "Joe" movies I can think of that have that kind of language.

You're also very close. Between the two of you, you've got it, except for a small detail.

I'm going to give you the solution for the sake of closure and since you're both so close :
