Ask me anything or talk about any fun goofy thing you want to.
Let's end this with a bang!

which Jimmy Stewart movie is this quote from

“There's not much I can tell you about this war. It's like all wars, I guess. The undertakers are winning.”

reply

Shenandoah

The only reason I remember this I literally just watched this a couple days ago.
Other than that I never would have remembered it.

reply

another one

It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well
You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle
And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell

reply

I know this song but can't place it.
I know it's an older song.

reply

How bout this one.

Just pour me a drink and I'll tell you some lies
Got nothin' to lose so you just sing the blues

reply

love on the rocks ??

reply

That's the one.
Neil is the man.

reply

I loved that song when it first came out. I was eight years old.

Looking back, I think that was the very first sign of trouble. I’m pretty sure eight year-olds aren’t supposed to like a song like that.

reply

The signs were all there weren't they.
If only they'd noticed!

Same with me though.
Not many of us that age listening to that music.

reply

Whiskey vs Wine

Rum vs Vodka

Beer vs Cider

Nicely done

reply

I study almost every day.

I really should be tenured by now.

reply

Tenured..?

YOU are the professor my man...
You give other people tenure at this point!

reply

School's out and tenured.

I think inadvertently we just brought two threads together.
We're that good.
My mind was achin and we are shakin it all night long.

reply

Beer + cider = Snakebite. Not bad at all.

I shudder to think of combining the others.

reply

A little song
A little dance
A little seltzer
Down your pants.

🤪

reply

Well it's about time miss I have a life outside of MC.

Love me some Chuckles.
RIP

reply

It didn't take you long to blow up the place, did it?

reply

With crazy friends like you guys around does it ever take us much effort.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor.
Except for hownos. He's crazy enough on his own!

reply

Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming
We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming

reply

Ohio by Crosby Stills Nash and Young

reply

Mr Young getting all political.
Who would have thought that?

I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can

reply

reply

Your country just bowed it's head in shame.

Off on your way
Hit the open road
There is magic at your fingers
For the spirit ever lingers
Undemanding contact
In your happy solitude

reply

I have a feeling its another Canadian artist I don't know

reply

It is a Canadian artist and I'm sure you know.

Would Tom Sawyer know?

reply

I am not a big Rush fan. I know I should be drawn and quartered

reply

Just the music in general or the sound?

reply

It's a bit heavy for my liking. I am way too mainstream.

reply

Fair enough.
At that time it something different.
Sign of the times to come.

Do you like blues or alt blues?

reply

a classic

Friday evening
Sunday in the afternoon
What have you got to lose?

Tuesday morning
Please be gone I'm tired of you
What have you got to lose?

reply

It is a classic.

Judy Blue Eyes.

After Neil right?

reply

Yes - Crosby, Stills and Nash

reply

on more Neil - should be easy

The king is gone
but he's not forgotten
This is the story
of a Johnny Rotten
It's better to burn out
than it is to rust
The king is gone
but he's not forgotten.

reply

Hey Hey My My

The man is good!

reply

reply

Don't question why she needs to be so free
She'll tell you it's the only way to be

reply

Mick and the boys

Try this one
I woke up this morning with the sundown shining in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky

reply

two more lines and I will get this one.

reply

I know you got it.
Try this before the easy lyrics.

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawling out as I was a-crawling in
I got up so tight I couldn't unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I..............

reply

I have his greatest hits CD and was playing it in the car just a few days ago. The Condition song by Kenny Rogers. The lyrics are very dark and I always wondered if there was some hidden meaning.

reply

Depends on who you believe.

I've heard it's about an LSD trip which makes sense given the lyrics and it's history.
Others say it's an anti drug song. To show the dangers of drug use.

Either way it's an awesome song.
