"Doyle" is one of the best characterizations of a character in film history. There is no redeeming value of this man, but, yet Yoakam instills in him something of value. It's lost in the remainder of his pathology, but, it's there. "I don't know what goes on. You freaks, I hope you have fun." LMAO!!!
The scene in the back yard/living room of Frankie's house is one of the funniest scenes in Hollywood history. I cannot imagine how long that took to get it. So many characters.
The dinner table scene. "Doyle" can never rest. No more gets his & Frankie's plates overloaded with food than an idea comes forth- "I know what I'm gonna do now." - Doyle
"Oh, Doyle, not tonight, I'm give out." - the mother
Tells Frankie to retrieve his guitar from the garage. "Yeah, now, it's out there with that loony tune. You can eat when you get back."
It's weird, but, I almost resent "Karl" splitting his head in half.
