I'll go beyond nay and say nope, no way, just no, never.
My first job during high school was working for a department store in their restaurant department. Around the holidays we sold fruitcakes - they looked terrible, completely unappetizing even though they were made right there. No, I've never tasted one, but seeing those fruitcakes was a total turnoff. Homemade fruitcakes have got to be better than store-bought, but I still want nothing to do with them.
