Documentaries that you thought were unsettling to watch for whatever reason, it could be the graphic nature, the subject matter etc.

3 off the top of my head that i watched recently :

1) The Imposter (2012)
2) Orozco the Embalmer (2001)
3) Cropsey (2009)

Happy holidays everyone!

The Iceman Interviews - HBO. Very disturbing listening to a man who killed maybe 200 or 300 people so matter of factly discussing the killings. Chilling.

reply

You saw the movie?

reply

I saw the movie and thought it was good But watching and hearing the real guy was chilling. The Iceman Inverviews is a documentary HBO did back in the 90s. They did several interviews with serial killer Richard Kuklinski when he was in prison. If you liked the movie you should watch this.

Copy that, mate.I will check on it,thank you.

Dope Sick Love (2005)

It's about two pairs of lovers who are also drug addicts. The camera follows them around while they do their thing. Disturbing stuff.

I agree on Cropsey; saw it sometime early last year.

1) The Central Park Five https://moviechat.org/tt2380247/The-Central-Park-Five
2) West of Memphis https://moviechat.org/tt2130321/West-of-Memphis

The stories in both are very similar and disturbing in that they address serious travesties of justice involving young people.

Solid recommendations.

I recently watched a documentary about the James Bulger case in Liverpool 1993.Where a 2 year old boy was abducted and murdered by two 10 year old boys.
The story was told through the eyes of the policemen who dealt with the case.
Hearing the tapes of the two ten year olds, who brutally murdered the infant James, was chilling.Impossible to process that two young children could be capable of such an act of evil.

Here in the States, I recall reading about the Liverpool horrific case when it happened. It shook me to the core. What those two monster kids from hell did to that baby is unspeakable! After all these years I still can see them (cctv) leading the baby from a mall. The justice system cared more for the two evildoers than it did for the baby who was tortured and murdered. They were released before serving the full term of their ridiculously short sentence! I believe Britain has not heard the last from those two....two bad seeds who should never have seen freedom again.

Both are now in their 30's and guaranteed lifetime anonymity having both been given new identities, along with their families.Venables has been given several because he broke parole terms by actually telling people who he was believe it or not! He also broke the agreement that he was not allowed into Merseyside.
Now are you sitting down?
Robert Thompson has apparently settled down with a partner and is leading a normal life, but Jon Venables has been returned to prison twice for possession of child pornography and that's where he currently is.He still retains his anonymity.
James' mother Denise has written a book and that was why I watched the documentary, she has never learned the full extent of what happened to her little boy,she probably never will.

I don’t think I could watch the documentary. Cases like these, children and animals) haunt me. I would never be able to sit on a jury for these type cases. When Susan Smith rolled her two babies, who were in the car, into the water to drown then walk away I sobbed for days. I try not to read about child abuse cases as they stay with me for years.

This little fellow, James Bulger, was taken by Satan’s demons, tortured, bricks piled on him, then he was cut in half by a train! Pure evil! Lifetime anonymity! As I wrote previously the justice system cared more for those heathens than it did for little James.

The James Bulger case. A miscarriage of justice. Venables was recently charged with possession of indecent pics of children. Put him in jail and keep him there.

One that disturbed me was "There's Something Wrong With Aunt Diane"
