Trump

Manafort is being looked at for connections that predate Trump by a decade. The charges on Flynn may or may not have anything to do with Trump as Flynn was in government before Trump. Sure the desire is there by Mueller to get Flynn, Manafort, or anybody else to give anything they know about Trump up but that is not the same as knowing for sure that Trump broke a law. Unless these guys hire dopes for lawyers Mueller will have to cite a law that was broken in order to prosecute. I would hope that simply being seen with a Russian, Iranian, North Korean, etc. is not a prosecutable offense because then many Democrats (Clinton's) and Republicans will have new Leavenworth addresses.

In our system, that doesn't count. It's the Electoral Votes which elect a president. The Founders, in their wisdom, set this up so that the people in populous cities and states wouldn't automatically force their ideas on the people in rural areas and less populated states. That's also why there are two Senators from every state, no matter how large or small the state is.

If we elected a President strictly on the popular vote, there would be millions of Republican voters in blue states who would come out and vote. They don't now because they know their votes don't count in a blue state. The same is true for Democrats in red states.

It doesn't matter. He won where it counts, the Electoral College. So no matter how much Crooked Hillary and the rest of the Libtards whine and cry about it, he's still the president. And there's really nothing they can do about it.

How can it be reprensative of America when the candidate with the less votes wins? Where sparsely populated areas get more say than where a larger percentage of the population resides?
He lost by two million votes to a very unpopular candidate. More people didn't vote for anyone than for him. His approval sits around 40 something. Nothing indicates that his appeal is widespread.

It's called proportional representation. A larger number of votes should be automatically disregarded in the grand scheme of things. That's not democracy.

I'm about to take a hike too snepsts. I came here too because I wanted to discuss movies, not to get roped into arguments with Trumpsters like everywhere else. There's seldom a response to discussions about individual films and TV programs while rantings about "SWJ's" and trigger posts dominate discussions.
