I got a contemporary voice for ya - Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont on Game of Thrones); I would do awful things to have a voice like his.

And a voice from the past - Nat King Cole.

Nat King Cole, what an amazing voice. So smooth and beautiful. If melting butter made a sound, that's what I imagine it'd sound like.

I think Madeleine Stowe has a lilt to her voice which actually comes across as melodious. I really noticed it in The Last of the Mohicans.

So many British stage-trained actors. They really train and develop their voices. That is one thing I've noticed in Game of Thrones, that so many of the older male characters have amazing voices. I want to see a shakespeare play with all these guys in it.
Davos Seaworth
Jorah Mormont
Roose Bolton
Tywin Lannister

I thought of another one- Jeremy Wade, the River Monsters guy. I love his voice. I invented a drinking game for his show.
Every time he says GIRTH you take a drink.
Sometimes he says "frightening GERRRRTH"
