You missed the point of that story in the context of the film. Stop trolling.

I personally consider it one of Tarantino's worst, but I got exactly why that part was included

reply

Definitely not his best but I'd still love to see it on a big screen in true Ultra Panavision 70. Preferably a vintage theater with a real neon sign.

reply

I did. Photography was incredible. Movie, not so much IMO

reply

In some ways the panavision was wasted on all the interior shots (which was like 90% of the movie), but it was worth it for the exteriors.

I thought it was entertaining and disgusting simultaneously. Yes, there were many grotesque deaths. Not just 'the black guy'.
I liked the way it was similar to an old fashioned mystery stage play where a group is trapped together in a house while murders are occurring. I liked the complicated plot with little twists and turns, I loved the ultra panavision cinematography, and mostly I loved the actors. Just watching Sam Jackson and Walt Goggins chew up the scenery is worth the price of admission.

reply

No you're right. It was disgusting gore for the sake of it.

reply

Wishing someone dead is also disgusting, troll.

reply

I didn't say it was disgusting gore for the sake of it. So if I am right, then you contradict your first statement with your second statement.
There I go using logic again. I keep forgetting logic is not allowed.

reply

Sorry I meant to reply to the OP.

reply

You've got a good analysis of "The Hateful 8", Popcorn Kernel. It was rather disgusting, but entertaining at the same time.

reply

I like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill 1 and 2, but Hateful 8 lost me halfway through. I have a line and that movie crossed it.

I haven't liked a Tarantino movie since Jackie Brown, he just goes more and more over the top with every new movie.

reply

I don't have to see it to know what to expect from the juvenile non-thinker Tarantino. I vowed not to see another of his films after the derivative trash of Ingloious Basterds. Not even the presence of Jennifer Jason Leigh in the cast could make me want to watch Hateful Eight.

reply

[deleted]

I agree Inglourios Basterds was ridiculous. Period movies with massive historical inaccuracy are idiotic.

reply

I have seen worse

reply

I gave it a 7/10 - nothing special

a black guy that raped and murdered his son then gets shot in the balls and bleeds to death bothers you?
but a film by Stephen Spielberg's long opening scene where American U-boats open up on the beaches in Normandy
where most of the young GI's were shot in the head by 50 caliber machine gun fire is considered a classic,
that was the worst scene I've ever seen in movies and should have been cut from the film, I think Spielberg
is an asshole for filming that scene. it bothered me so much that I could not stop the tears, I took the DVD out and threw it in the bucket
with the rest of the garbage. but I would enjoy seeing that black guy bleed to death, I would have cut his balls off myself.

beaches in Germany?

reply

ok, they were fighting Germany, the Germans were in the Utah beach in Normandy, 2500 Americans
were killed in that dumb attack

reply

France.

reply

how would you have beaten the Germans ??

reply

Shot then in the crotch, probably

the generals sent the troops into the waiting arms of the enemy, my cat could have come up with a better plan.

reply

No, you're not the only one. It was extremely disgusting. If I had it to do over again, I would not view it. And the scene you mentioned was truly gruesome and horrific. Tarantino is very talented, but sometimes he just goes WAY overboard.
