That randomly reminds me of a line from Billy Liar.
Grandmother:"If that's our Billy tell him his old raincoat is hanging on the door"
Billy:"What if it's not our Billy? Where is his raincoat then?"

reply

Why haven't I heard of this movie ?
It looks very funny. I will look for this.

Desperate times, Dazed, desperate times.
I'm so bad at this game I resorted to lying. I have no excuse.
Worse part is that's the first movie I thought of based on
comments but couldn't see the second picture.

This is more my speed.

It's a black and white of the British kitchen sink genre based on a small novel by Keith Waterhouse,it is really funny, but it is older than me (by 1 year!) hopefully the humour translates across the pond!

I hope you didn't really think I was accusing you of lying? It never crossed my mind.

As for yours-If April is correct then that's what I thought too! [winkgrin]

reply

For whatever reason I've been watching a lot of 60's British movies lately.
Haven't seen a bad one yet.

I was kidding. I know you would never call me a liar.
You might think it, but never call me one. :P

Then you are correct. I will stump 151 before it's over.

reply

I love those films, Billy Liar and A taste of honey are particular favourites.
My copy of the book has the design of a packet of Woodbine's cigarettes! I stole it off my sister or rather relieved her of the burden of taking it with her when she left home. She also had several neglected singles and LPs that I helped her with!
Anyhoo...

Try this

You're such a good person. Helping your sister like that.

Recently saw Blow Up, L Shaped Room and Saturday Night and
Sunday Morning, which I absolutely loved. Tom Jones, Billy Liar and
now Taste of Honey waiting in the wings.

I will work on this falling star man who is happy drivin movie.
