I grew up in an Italian/Jewish middle class neighborhood (one of the very few black families around), and my best friend was a second generation Italian. His parents spoke Italian as well as English and his grandparents spoke broken English if at all.
One day my buddy's grandfather said something in Italian, and I suspected it was about me. I asked my buddy what his grandfather said. My buddy told me his grandfather referred to me as a struntz (not sure of the spelling). Struntz is a derogatory Italian slang word for a large turd. How nice.
I got over it and it became a nickname for me and we stayed best friends and were best men in each other's weddings. When we have a neighborhood reunion my buddy still calls me by that name and I call him Dago (his preferred nick).
Well, everyone in the neighborhood (including the Jewish kids) pretty much knew what it was. The only time I hear it now is when my buddy calls or texts me.
It might mean that in certain dialects and something else in others. There were a couple of Italian families that couldn't really communicate with the others because of different dialects, except in English.
Padeen is a character from The Aubrey Maturin Book Series and also the movie Master and Commander. Seemed like a good, random profile name for a movie forum.
You're a child! And I'm not even dogging you...wish I would have been into it at your age!which actor. Were you..lighter hair right? Have not finished...but I will here in a bit!
The one with the fake earring. That scene in the car we shot in December, 2016. I was 18 then. We finished the movie December, 2017 so it took us about a year. It would've taken less time if we'd had more time on our hands.
(1) My initials are RK, so it means “of, or pertaining to, things that are RK.” My family name is not Kane, and it pisses me off when internet pussies try to talk tough by so addressing me. My name in this domain is R_Kane, period, and that is how people address me. I do not follow professional “wrestling” (barf, upchuck, projectile vomit) and am not taking one of the wrestlers as my namesake.
Mine is just a variation of the name I first used when chatting 20+ years ago. Bishop is a comic character I liked at the time, as well as being the name of the android in Aliens and Alien 3. 34 is a number I chose after I got irritated with trying to get Bishop to work...several people had already chosen the name so I started using random progressively higher numbers, 34 worked. Lord part I added for the same reason I used 34, issues with getting the user name at other services and I thought it sounded good together. Eventually just settled on that combination from that point on and have used variations of it since.
I like the user name so I don't have any desire to change it.
