shareI was actually under a rock about this commercial. Never heard of it till seeing the SNL bit, which I thought was really weird and pointless. Come to find out it's a real commercial. Which made the bit kind of funny.
shareIt's one of those things where you think "this HAS to be a parody" and then you find out it is real and they thought it was a good idea for real.
Just knowing how many people have to sign off and collaborate on a big budget ad like this, all the rewrites and focus groups and market research etc etc, that makes it even more incredulous that it would ever see the light of day.
It's not like one crazy person can just go off and make the ad and air it without his boss noticing.
