Moviechat was mentioned on the "list of 60 alternative sites" that was posted on "that site" as far back as february 12th, and probably a few more days before that date. It was created not long before that, I guess.

I'm unsure of the exact date, but my first post on this site indicates "one month ago". I believe it was within a day or two after IMDb closed.
shareI've been here from the beginning. Someone dropped the link over at my favourite board, and I bookmarked it, and signed up almost immediately, I think even before IMDB closed. The person that mentioned it also mentioned that many of the archives had been saved.
I also pushed this link like crazy over there, and no sooner than I would, someone would post right over me, completely ignoring it, with a post to the effect of “Man, I'm really going to miss you guys”, which is how I knew that no one was even reading my posts. So despite my efforts, it looks like few from the old board made it over here.
