How much do you like movies?
How much of your guys's time is spent watching/discussing film? For me its my #1 passion.

shareI watch more TV now than movies. It seems to me that movies are becoming secondary to TV shows in Hollywood.
shareI spend a lot of time watching movies. Last month, I watched 83 movies.
shareI watch about 10 movies a week and some TV shows. IMDB and MC are always on my phone. I drop movie and TV quotes frequently at work and home, sometimes people miss them but I don’t care mostly…mostly.
shareThis much (I'm spreading my hands about one and a half feet apart)
shareMy love of music and comic books pushes films and tv into third place.
shareEh, around 10 or so movies per month. I used to like movies more when I was younger because now I feel like I've already seen all movie tropes under the sun... and also 90s movies were the best.
shareI watched 37 movies last month and I have a DVD copy of House (1977). Very nice user name. 👍

I got out of the habit of watching them for a long time -- a good five, six, seven year hiatus -- and then lockdowns happened and I got back into films fairly seriously.
Even after the world returned to normal, I was determined that I would continue to carve out the time to watch films. Most weeks, I manage to see around a dozen.
I don't watch very much TV at all. I'm not a gamer. I don't spend huge amounts of time looking at social media. I spend my leisure time watching films and reading. So, I like movies a fair bit.
Kind of the same thing happened to me a long time ago. I started getting into movies more seriously after I had my first child as I went from single guy living in his friend’s basement to a married father and needed something to replace my previous wild ways of escapism but before that I went a good 6-7 years watching a handful of movies per month. Now it’s a monthly average of 15 movies.
Funny thing, even after all this movie watching my top three hasn’t changed for the past 20 years.
One thing we are different on; I am addicted to TikTok, I play video games, I watch hockey and UFC and a few Tv series, I work full time and live with my wife, my three kids and my stepmother yet I always find time for my movies.
Yeah. That's another thing that changed for me. I only have to go into work one day -- occasionally two days -- a week now. I'm WFH the rest of the time. Thank you, Covid! You were good for something.
So that freed up nearly eight hours per week previously spent on journeys.
I doubt I'll keep up a dozen movies per week for the rest of my natural life. It'll taper off at some point. It's the highest volume of movies I've managed since, er, I was a teenager probably... But for now, I march on.
