On Thursday just before bed I unconsciously typed IMDB when I wanted to read about a movie, but I caught myself and closed the window right away. I really want to avoid ever going there again. Have any of you gone back?
shareI did go back there a few times to write a review but it just isn't the same without the message boards. It feels empty. The competition for reviews is steep. You would have to write a kickass review to be noticed.
shareA few times but nowhere near as much as when the boards were there. Their traffic is going to plummet. They don't offer anything really unique any more.
I do wonder if someday they might not try to bring the boards back in a new format that's easier to moderate.
I keep forgetting, I probably go there twice a day now (I used to always leave a tab open). But I also just found this website, it's going to get a lot better now I'm sure. I was mostly a lurker but I always went there after watching a movie or show, particularly if left with questions. I'm also really thankfull that they were able to transfer many of the posts, I already found some of my old stuff in here. Great move!
shareIMDB still has some good points such as highest rated episodes for tv series, that was one of my favorite features. Every series has it's classic episodes that are very memorable.
shareI have (on the app). I looked at the trivia and goofs, then immediately to where the message boards were (for the same movie), then remembered it was gone. Bummer.
