Why did (((they))) kill IMDB discussion boards?
Why?
shareGod: Yeah, it could be fake, but it would seem a bit odd for someone to impersonate a former IMDb employee for no reason, deep within a long thread on Reddit? It rang true to me, but of course, "reader beware."
sharei Am Not Your Negro got a negative reception
shareNew world order. You're not allowed an opinion.😁
shareI don't know, but I bet it was costly to administer the site and keep the place somewhere knowledgeable people wanted to go. I was an admin for a website that had maybe a zillionth of imdb's traffic and user complaints that really just amounted to personality conflicts were legion.
sharethe same reason any big corporation does anything, money. though to be honest I wouldn't mind paying an anual small fee to use the boards
shareAlso, IMDb tried to be all things to all people. It had a ton of awesome content, but it really didn't need ALL the boards it had. Maybe it just collapsed under its own weight.
