Questions about archiving, and is there any way I can help?

How are you going about archiving IMDb posts, and is there any way for us to help? Also, are you accepting suggestions for particular boards to back up?

I have been working tirelessly to archive as many as possible of my favorite IMDb boards as possible before they disappear forever. I've mostly been doing it by using the website downloading program HTTrack to download each board in its entirety to my computer's hard drive, although I have also adding a couple of boards (in their entirety, with every thread) to Archive.org's Wayback Machine.

You can read about my efforts and see a list of the boards that I have saved to my hard drive so far at this link:

https://www.reddit.com/r/IMDbFilmGeneral/comments/5sok0m/the_imdb_adoptaboard_archiving_program_unofficial/

Is there any way that my archiving efforts can prove useful to you? For instance, if I were to upload ZIP files of the boards I have downloaded, could you integrate them into your archive?

I love the idea that some of what wasn't saved by Jim may be reassembled piecemeal from individual cinephiles. Makes me think of the ending of (spoiler alert) Fahrenheit 451, with all the refugees who have memorized banned books.

I had previously downloaded some of those same titles using HTTrack, but the ones downloaded using chobar's script have much smaller file sizes and are thus much easier to share online.

Here are the boards that I downloaded using HTTrack, but didn't get to re-download with chobar's script (and thus only have HTTrack versions):

Agent Carter (2015)
Flash Gordon (1936)
Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars (1938)
Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (1940)

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
Tobey Maguire

Also, a IMDb user named obake_neko informed me that he had saved a large number of IMDb boards to the Wayback Machine. Here is his IMDb list of all the boards that he added to the Wayback Machine: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls062970585/

To view each of the archived boards in his list, just copy the link of the movie's IMDb page, add board/ to the end, and search for it on the Wayback Machine. The list is two pages long, and includes a whopping 140 titles.

Also, here is the (50 title) list of some other boards that he saved to Archive.li: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls062970131/

@hbenthow. Looking quickly through your list as well as obake_neko's lists I see almost no overlap with mine. Thus between just the three of us we have around 300 boards fully archived. That's a good supplement to whatever moviechat.org grabbed by itself. This place could start to feel quite homey over the next few weeks.

@Abz16, I'm sorry, but it's too late. The IMDb boards were already down when you posted your message. Maybe someone somewhere downloaded it, so it might be archived somewhere. There's no knowing at this point.
