Up until the age of 12 I was what was known as a “tomboy”. I didn’t want to be a girl because I liked doing what the boys were doing and constantly getting hurt in the process, but it didn’t matter. They weren’t going to best me. I didn’t play with dolls. I played with my brother’s toys. I rode a boy’s bike. The day arrived when I began to see changes in my body which identified me as a girl and I hated it. Something occurred though when I turned 12..the monthly began and with it began new feelings. Hormones started doing their job. I was a girl at last and couldn’t wait to develop. I still wanted to be around boys, but definitely not in the manner of being like them! I had new feelings toward the male gender and it was exciting.

Exactly, and the thing about young girls is they often want to do what everyone else is doing. Last Christmas my 4 year old nephew got a bunch of pirate toys because right now he wants to be a pirate. I started playing pirates with him and as a result my 5 year old niece wanted to play pirates with us. And there was nothing wrong with that or unusual about it. Even though she was playing a game that usually appeals to boys she still very much was a girl and that doesn’t mean that she should get life altering gender transition surgery. These people are demented.

He had one of those little blue cars in the 1950’s which are worth a fortune if you can locate one. I was too big to sit in the seat (he was 7 years younger) so I straddled the thing with my legs draped on the hood and coasted down hills. He had THE red wagon which was always with me. Also, a costly Schwinn bike which I rode instead of my girl’s bike.
While other girls were doing girly things I was outside hanging upside down on the jungle gym, on the school swings standing up swinging as high as I could. I jumped off the roof of a chicken coop and caught my neck on the clothesline. Doing so slammed me backwards with the result of my head slamming against the ground. A bigger ouch! Never jumped off that thing again!
I’m posting this info so people can understand many kids are confused in their pre-teen years. I had two older female cousins who knew what they were when exiting the womb. We were stepping stones in age. They were into make-up, fixing their hair, etc. As for me I was just a tag along who wanted to play outdoors instead of doing those girly things.
