Trump Pardons Drug Dealer and Killer of 6 from His Life Sentence

“Make no mistake: Ulbricht was a drug dealer and criminal profiteer who exploited people’s addictions and contributed to the deaths of at least six young people,” said Bharara. “Ulbricht went from hiding his cybercrime identity to becoming the face of cybercrime and as today’s sentence proves, no one is above the law.”

Sentenced in federal court to life in prison in connection with his operation and ownership of Silk Road, a hidden website designed to enable its users to buy and sell illegal drugs and other unlawful goods and services anonymously and beyond the reach of law enforcement between January 2011 and October 2013.

The sentence was announced by Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Ulbricht was found guilty Feb. 5 of each of the seven charges he faced, following a four-week jury trial. U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest imposed the sentence May 29."

Obviously, Dictator Trump and his white supremacists, neo-Nazis, violent treasonists, and cronies are above the law.

That's fucking awesome. Pardoning Ross Ulbricht is the coolest, best thing Trump has ever done. The only thing unfortunate about his situation was that he got caught in the first place.

The drug war is a failed policy that destroys lives just as much as the drugs themselves, particularly harming Black and Brown communities the most. The drug war needs to end, and all drugs should be legalized — at the very least decriminalized.
