It was plainly a bomb and they’re investigating it as a terrorist attempt considering the context of the explosion occurring in a Tesla vehicle parked for just 15 seconds at a Trump hotel. The electric Cybertruck appears to have been rented via the Turo app which was the same app used by the New Orleans attacker to rent the electric Ford pickup he used. And explosives were likewise found in the Ford.

In summary:
